Which Stocks Is Tommy Tuberville Trading These Days

Tommy Tuberville, one of the most active Senators on Wall Street, disclosed that he made tens of new trades in August.
Tuberville bought $100,000 to $250,000 worth of Intel Corp (INTC: US) shares on August 05 when INTC’s stock price closed at $35.39. Intel stock price currently trades below the $30 handle, which makes Tuberville’s entry price not so attractive.
On the other hand, the Senator from Alabama sold PayPal (PYPL: US) shares on August 11 when the stock closed at $99.11. The size of the trade ranges from $100,000 to $250,000 bracket, which makes it the joint biggest trade he made in August, alongside buying Intel shares. Earlier in August, Tuberville sold between $15,000 to $50,000 worth of PayPal Holdings Inc shares.
Tuberville also made three trades worth $50,000 to $100,000 each. These include purchases of iShares National Muni Bond ETF (MUB: US) and Cathie Wood’s ARK Innovation ETF (ARKK: US), as well as selling Stratasys (SSYS: US) shares.
Elsewhere, the Senator made almost a dozen transactions in August, including some popular ETFs like iShare Core S&P 500 ETF (IVV: US) that he sold and Invesco S&P 500 Equal Weight ETF (RSP: US) which he stocked up on.
Tuberville disclosed that he bought $50,000 to $100,000 worth of Cleveland-Cliffs (CLF: US) shares on July 18. Senator’s biggest buy trades involved shares of PayPal and Qualcomm (QCOM: US), with each trade worth between $250,000 and $500,000.
CLF and PYPL are two of the most popular stocks traded by Tuberville, after ChannelAdvisor (ECOM: US). Taking these above trades into account, it comes as no surprise that Tuberville’s favorite sector for trading is IT, followed by Materials and Healthcare.
Senator Tuberville sits on the following committees: Agriculture, Nutrition & Forestry; Armed Services; Health, Education, Labor & Pensions; and Veteran’s Affairs.
